Hi.....
I'd like to know people from Madagascar
I am Indonesian, I know that the merinas in Madagascar
has some ties to Indonesia
anybody cares to share.....anything  |

Hi ! 
I agree with you about the common points between the merinas and the Indonesians. As far as I am concerned, when I meet Indonesian people, they smile as if they tought that I am Indonesian!  
It's funny 'cause my father looks like a Japanese...But he's not actually!  He's a real Madagascan!
Where are you living exactly in Indonesia? |

back in the late 80's I saw some malgaches (how do u call people from Madagascar?) in E. Germany, Czechoslovakia
I thought they were Indonesians

I think that we call the people who live in Madagascar the Madagascans...I'm not very sure.
So, I guess that you are not very young if you talk about the late 80's...  I'm 21.  |

As from january 2007 I'm gonna studying in Thaïland (in Bangkok) for my third semester of my business school.
Bangkok is not very far from Jakarta, is it ? |

Emily, i though you heard also malagasy discussing? Some of the words, the stress, the way we are speaking are strangely close to indonesian's ... .
